What a fun listing, Mary. I bet you love this. I know I would. I also like the way the house sits higher up on the rock, you know, in case the lake rises. BTW, is there a reason it is named snake lake? Asking for a friend.

Hi Elizabeth, I do love this lake. No real snakes that I know about! I'm not sure how it got it's name though.
Very nice Mary Douglas! Thank you for sharing the beauty of the cabin and the history too. In Arizona there was the Zane Grey cabin up near Payson. ![]()

Hi Jeff, thanks for stopping in. I may have confused the two- but I sold Mr Hutchins lake view cabin earlier this year, and this little cabin is a new listing. So other than a great place to read his books, they aren't related. I would love to see the Zane Grey cabin :-)
What wonderful scenes those are, Mary! And, your telling of the meeting with the murder mystery writer is intriguing.

Hi Myrl, thank you! I could look at the view any day and I have to either go to the library or purchase another series from my new "favorite writer"!
Hi Mary Nice to see you. What a gorgeous place to call home. Hope you are having a terrific summer.

Hi Sharon, I hope you are having a terrific summer too - it has been a great summer so far.
Don't know about the writer but I could be downright peaceful in a location like that.

I snorted a little when you said murder crossed your mind. And I'm the same kind of reader as you, when into a good book who needs food, sleep or even to step outside in the event of a fire.

Hi Tammy, at least we are not alone in this - but I'm drawing the line at fire :-) HA! Thanks for the "snort" too!
Nice tie in of the local author all the way to your latest listing. What a great property.

Thanks Chris Ann- it was a stretch :-)
