Santa Monica Seafood Market & Café is more than just a place to buy the freshest Seafood on the West Side of Los Angeles and vicinity. It is also a Seafood Restaurant as the name implies.
I have been shopping at the Santa Monica Seafood Market for over 22+ years. The fish was always the best in the area as well as fresh and then to boot the service was fantastic as well. Just to give you a little background: they moved their locations oh about seven or eight years ago and they added a Restaurant section to the store. I never went there to eat, I just looked at it as I was doing my seafood shopping and put it on the back burner. You know, one of these days I will try it out and eat here mentality.
Well Diane had an appointment in Santa Monica and suggested that we grab a bite to eat there. The time was what I call an in-between time, not lunch time and not dinner time. I call it a very late lunch or a very early dinner time😊. Anyway, she did not need to twist my arm too hard.
Loved it, we both had a New England Clam Chowder that rivals any Boston gourmet Restaurant’s version. She had a Lobster Roll and I had Sword Fish sliders with a side order of Fries. This was a total winner. Now with that said after our meal I had to buy a few things for later….
