WHAT THE SELLERS LOVE ABOUT THE HOME
When we found our home at 4719 Ilkley Moor Lane, we were immediately attracted to many features we were not finding in any other house we were looking at. For starters, storage. Storage, storage, and more storage. Everywhere you look. The backyard is HUGE. Perfect for playing with the kids, entertaining and parties, and backyard BBQs. The open basement provides plenty of space for the kids to play in, a workout area, and a craft room for mom. The master bedroom suite has his-n-her Master closets, and an en-suite master bath. Lots of parking is available on the long driveway or on the street. What we love about our home is sitting in the sunroom on weekend mornings when the sun comes up and warms up the room. On warmer days we open the windows to let in a cool breeze and listen to the birds. The back patio is shaded in the late afternoon/early evenings providing a cooled off space for grilling, backyard parties, and spending time with family.

COMMUNITY AND AMENTITIES
In Brampton Hills the neighbors are super-friendly and everyone watches out for everyone else. Watching the house, getting mail when out-of-town, all the cool things neighbors do for one another. Every year about two weeks before Christmas, the Ellicott City Volunteer Fire Department escorts Santa through the entire neighborhood. Lights flashing and siren wailing, the kids couldn't wait for Santa to drive past the house every year. The fire department also puts together the most awesome Holiday Train Garden. There is also an annual Easter Egg Hunt and summertime weekend movie nights in the field near the house.
Some of the things we love about Ellicott City are: Live performances in the summertime in downtown Old Ellicott City. We always bring friends and relatives visiting from out-of-town to visit the quaint shops and especially the B&O Railroad Station Museum. Merriweather Post Pavilion for concerts and Sunset Serenades."
Some of our favorite restaurants in the area are La Palapa, and Tersiguels. The kids LOVE Bella Mia for pizza delivery. A HUGE local favorite! The grocery store we use is Wegmans. Great selection of fish and vegetables that we would put on the grill in the back yard! Trader Joe's is a great destination, too. Whole Foods, Giant, and Aldi round out the selection in the area.
We moved to Howard County because of the highly-rated schools. In fact, the elementary school just earned Blue Ribbon Schools Award. Ellicott Mills Middle School has been a Blue Ribbon School for years. The drive to Fort Meade is great. Access to Howard County Community College, University of Maryland, and Johns Hopkins University is easy. Easy on/easy off of I 95, 29, and 100. Quick drive to Washington DC and Baltimore for the theater and attractions. New York City and Philadelphia are also easily accessible in a day. Ellicott City is a great location due to its proximity to BWI airport, Baltimore, and Washington, DC. Our house is close to so much activity yet nestled away from all of the hustle and bustle to provide peace and quiet.
