Michael and I have both been to the Zoo before, many times over the years actually, and so has Jonathan, but it’s been awhile since the last time we were there. Jonathan loved coming here as a young child, and it has only gotten better over the last two decades. In fact, the Zoo Boise is one of the best zoos on the West Coast alongside the San Diego and San Francisco Zoos. And because of that, and its cultural impact on the City of Trees, I had to add it to the list of Boyles Boise: 52 things to do and see. Zoo Boise is a service of the City of Boise and is supported by the Friends of Zoo Boise, a 501(c)(3) membership organization that supports Zoo Boise in the area of animal acquisition, capitol improvement projects, education programs, volunteer opportunities, and special events. The goal of each of these components is to increase public awareness, knowledge, and appreciation of the zoo, wild animals, animal habitats, species conservation and the environment.

About Me I have been living in Idaho for almost my entire life, and the Treasure Valley has been my home for more than 30 years. In addition to constantly exploring the city and all of its activities, I am also very involved in the Treasure Valley’s philanthropy scene and have been working in the Mortgage industry as a Loan Officer for more than 35 years now. Additionally, my husband Michael had a 20+ year career in Real Estate, so if you are new to the area and looking to lay some roots for your family, get involved with some great causes, connect with like-minded people or just explore all that Boise has to offer – don’t hesitate to let me know.
