Michael and I have loved going to these summer concerts for years now. The Alive After Five Concert Series, now in its 29th year and, despite ongoing work on the City Center Plaza, the concert series is still slated for every Wednesday through August 26, 5-8 p.m. The Alive After Five Concert Series takes place on the Grove Plaza downtown, with the exception of the Wednesday, July 29 concert, which is 4-7 p.m. Below is the series lineup and, as always, the concerts are free to attend. Aug. 12: Fruition Band and StoneSeed Aug. 19: The Ravenna Colt and Mississippi Marshall and The Juke Daddys Aug. 26: Record Exchange Season Finale In addition to catching some great live music, Alive After Five offers great food, drinks, people watching and you can even run through the giant waterfall (like most of the kids do) in the middle of the Grove Plaza. Overall, it’s a really nice way to cool off and wind down after a long day at work, and that’s why I decided to add it to the list of Boyles Boise: 52 things to do and see.
About Me I have been living in Idaho for almost my entire life, and the Treasure Valley has been my home for more than 30 years. In addition to constantly exploring the city and all of its activities, I am also very involved in the Treasure Valley’s philanthropy scene and have been working in the Mortgage industry as a Loan Officer for more than 35 years now. Additionally, my husband Michael had a 20+ year career in Real Estate, so if you are new to the area and looking to lay some roots for your family, get involved with some great causes, connect with like-minded people or just explore all that Boise has to offer – don’t hesitate to let me know.
