I will first and foremost apologize for the pictures or lack there of for this post, but for obvious reasons they really do not like for you to shoot a lot of photos inside this place. In any event, no pictures that I can show you would do The Columbia Museum of Art justice and you really need to see it in person to appreciate the wonderful collection of artwork housed within. Constantly rotating special exhibits will always ensure that returned visits will allow you to also see something new each time you stop by the museum as well. The museums central location on the 1500 block of Main Street makes it easily accessible from all over Columbia. At present the museum is closed for renovations but they will be back and better than ever on August 17th which gives you plenty of time to plan your visit.
The Columbia Museum of Art is located at 1515 Main Street Columbia, SC 29201.
