Clients are always asking about things to do in Copperas Cove. And while the city and chamber do host different events and festivals throughout the year, it's sometimes hard to find weekend entertainment on a regular basis.
So, WHAT TO DO? We have to look a little outside our area to find that quirky, fun entertainment that fills the need!
I had been hearing about this event sponsored by Austin icon Alamo Drafthouse, and had been lined up to go, but at the last minute could not attend.
Sounds like it was a blast, based on the report I got from friends that went!
They said it was tons of fun! Everyone in the crowd behaved and had a good time together, which is surprising. Look at how closely they were crammed together.
AND how many times scuba divers below the surface poked them in the bottom (bobo, derriere, butt - chose your word!) (all part of the fun)!
People booed the shark, cheered the boat captain and scientists, and cheered when the shark met his demise, accompanied with off screen fireworks!
The venue was Volente Beach on Lake Travis, and word is that it was clean and very nice if you are searching for a spot to spend some lake time. There's a water park nearby, too. It's about an hour to an hour an a half from Copperas Cove.
I know this event is over, but there's always something going on out there, not too far from Copperas Cove Texas.
