Testimonial Tuesday: Mama Mia! Here We Go Again

I'm usually a bit leery of sequels because they rarely live up to the original. Since I'm a big fan of Abba music, I figured I couldn't go wrong with Mama Mia! Here We Go Again.   Although there are many inconsistencies from the original story-line, the sequel released last month is a fun way to spend a couple of hours.  My friend and I both agreed we would love to see it again!

Thank you for your opinion on Mama Mia Here We Go Again.  I might actually go see it this afternoon.  The Paladio Theaters in nearby Folsom are running it at a mere $5.00 for Seniors on Tuesdays.

Hi Carol- I love musicals and love the cast members in Abba but first, I've never been an Abba fan (their music) and was a bit disappointed in the original movie.Might have been me though. It would be fun to see it just to see Cher.

This would qualify as an "escapist" movie, I suppose.  Quite enjoyable if you don't get caught up in the inconsistencies from the first movie.

Live would definitely be fun.  This was a sequel, not a remake.  The mother (Meryl Streep) has died and the daughter is reopening the hotel.

My friend and I saw the first one, the second one last week and the play on Broadway several years ago. I love the music and have the CD. I even sing along (not at a public theater though). Do you?

I wish I had some singing talent.  I do some singing when I am solo. But I have mercy on my friends and do not sing in public.  I maintain there is not enough alcohol in the world to get me to sing in public.
