Where DO Purple envelopes come from ?

. Invariably after we have written a post about our Purple envelopes...the purple envelopemonthly mailing we do to a variety of targer audiences...we get the question..

WHERE DO Purple Envelopes COME FROM ?
. The purple envelope store of course !  We order thousands at once and initially you may chooseastrobright colors to order fewer. There are 500 in a box.  You may not choose to have them be purple of course...decide on your color and we recommend you think about using Astro Bright or similar colors so that they stand out in mailboxes everywhere.  Astro bright colors certainly get attention.  Here is a sample of their colors. Our envelopes are "Gravity Grape." On occasion when invenory is low and we didn't want to wait for the next run, we have used "Venus Violet."

The Fox River Valley in Wisconsin...yes that IS Packer country...has paper mills and our choice of a vendor for our envelopes is Neenah Paper in Neenah, Wisconsin. You will find that they have a great selection of all things paper and envelopes...AND...superior customer service !  We have been loyal customers for years....try'em ...you'll like 'em !

This has been a marketing post we hope is helpful from Sally K. & David L. Hanson, Broker Associates with EXP Realty, honored to serving...and mailing...southeastern Wisconsin with all things real estate !

I feel obliged to share with you my first thought at your question - Purple envelopes come from purple cows, don't they?

One suggestion put forward by ancient language expert Ephraim Avigdor Speiser derived the meaning of the word Canaan from the Hurrian Kinahhu language, which referred to the color purple, so that Canaan and Phoenicia would be synonyms meaning the Land of Purple.

So that must be where purple envelopes come from.

Nailed it.

Our office order some Pantone Blue envelopes to match our company color when they ordered notecards for the agents. Our managing broker said the exact same thing, he wanted them to stand out in the pile of mail people receive. My handwriting is horrible, so I like to print out my envelopes, not stickers, but I find it is no use if not handwritten too.

So many great color choices, I would likely choose one of the oranges, as it would stand out and also match my current marketing materials.

I attended a management meeting years ago and they suggested presenting commission checks to agents in a brightly colored envelope. The broker started doing that and put a little note of appreciation inside of each one. He used blue envelopes as we were Prudential at the time. Agents loved getting a blue envelope. It was special as your purple envelopes are.
