Is it OK to use marble in a shower?

Although marble is beautiful and a natural stone there are disadvantages of marble. Because marble is a softer stone, marble is very absorbent. As the marble absorbs more and more liquid it gets less and less hard.  For example if the marble unsealed and subjected to consistent watter, if you dye your hair in your marble shower, the hair dye will most likely stain your shower floor.

Is marble slippery when wet?
Marble Steps & Marble Floor Tiles are most often finished to a high polish. Because of their highly polished surface, marble tiles can be extremely slippery, especially when wet. The overuse of cleaning products or miss application of cleaning products may also create a oily or greasy residue on the surface of the marble.

How do you get rid of slippery floors?
