The Snow is getting ready to Fly in Alaska

Industry Observer

Alaska by Robert Swetz

As many people know Alaska is known for having heavy snow fall through the spring, fall and winter months.

For Alaska snow is around the corner ...

By September Alaska can get hit with snow storms which creates snow cap mountains like this one I took around November of 2016.

And then again Alaska can have Indian summer days in fall even into some winter months.

As you can see in the photo above the tree line has no leave cover which crates a brown color from the branches, tree trunk and bark of the of the trees.

And any way you look at this photo it still displays the total beauty of Alaska ;o)

My first visit to Alaska was in 2001 and after traveling and staying in Alaska for months in the last 4 recent years, I never get tired of it's beauty ;o)

I have only been to Alaska once.  It was during late August.  I was shocked to see so much snow still on the mountain tops.  And, I wore sweaters to stay warm.  Something I never get to do in Sacramento during summer.

Morning VB.

Staying warm is crucial to me.  Just looking at those snow cap mountains gets me to shivering.

What a beautiful photo! My friend is on a tour in Alaska right now and I've been watching her photos of her journey with interest. She's had mostly rain and 50-60 degree weather. I can imagine snow is not too far behind.

I love looking at snow.  That is as long as I can do it while wearing shorts here in Florida.

I think I'd like to drive there again VB. The ALCAN is looking a lot better than that first journey in the 70's.
