Today was an Optional Tour of Dingle Peninsula.  First stop was at Tralee's Kerry the Kingdom Museum.  The medieval village was a fascinating recreation.  Life like figures and dwellings of long ago.

Dingle Peninsular is rugged mountains and  a most spectacular coastline.  We viewed the famed Blasket Islands, the most westerly point of Europe and their pre historic ring forts and Beehive huts.  The Beehive huts were made out of rock. The peninsula is an inspiration for artists and writers.  The movies Ryan's Daughter and Far and Away were made here.

We stopped in the fishing town of Dingle and enjoyed a fish and chips meal.  I went back to the Murphys Pub for another salad that evening!!
