I think I'm probably the last person on the planet who didn't have a YouTube channel but that changed a few days ago. Why?
I'm spending as much time these days composing music as I do painting so to keep things simple, I've decided to use my Instagram account for my artwork since Instagram is the best social media platform for visual content...
And will use my YouTube channel for music projects...
So what does this have to do with you? A few months ago when I posted about my absence from ActiveRain these past few years, where I've been and what I was doing... one of the things I mentioned was my return to the world of music which is what I was doing long before I started playing with paint.
Since then, I received quite a few emails and comments from AR members asking if they could use my music in their YouTube videos and what would it cost.
Now that I'm back and posting again on a fairly regular basis, I've decided to release some of my music for ActiveRain members who want to use it in their YouTube videos. I'll be releasing it for free under a Creative Commons Attribution license which basically means you can use my music tracks in both personal and commercial videos for free as long as you list me in the credits below your video somewhere(details to follow).
Note, my music is kind of eclectic and mostly used for film scores, etc... so it's not everyone's cup of tea but since so many people have asked about it, I thought I'd start releasing some tracks soon.
And since many of you probably have no idea what my music sounds like, here are a few links to a some recent pieces so you'll have an idea about what I'll be releasing...
- a 60 second soundtrack I did 2 weeks ago for Soundiron Audio's product launch video
- Distant Atmospheres a preview track from one of my own projects
- Minuet in G Minor a piano tribute I did a few months ago for the anniversary of Bach's birthday
I just have to do some editing and will be releasing these tracks (and more) for you to use in your YouTube videos, etc. beginning in the next week or two. I'll post the download links as soon as it's ready to go and on that note, I have to get back to work. Later...
