Do you have your place of power!

Back in the late 60s Carlos Castenada came out with the book, Conversations with Don Juan, a Yaqui way of knowledge. Many of us back in those days were drawn to what peyote could do to the doors of perception but a larger message was missed if that was the only way you read the book. My poodle Henri is showing in the picture an ideal canine version of finding his place of power. It is on a couch with furry and comfy blankets as you can tell by the look on his face.

The deeper meaning is are you in state of mind or location where you can be a fierce warrior and achieve positive results? For me going to an office is a negative place so working at a home office is a place of power. I have had the privilege of visiting Kyoto, Jerusalem, and Florence, all places of power for me. Despite the amount of business I am doing in Oklahoma City I prefer to spend half of the year in Florida at our place off the ocean. Walking barefoot in the sand, absorbing the energy of the earth, listening to waves, and watching the turquoise water with the sun coming down in the morning is a place of power.

If you find that momentum is lagging, or you are holding onto anger or frustration, then you are not in your place of power. Don Juan believed in the other world of dreams and when walking on the beach my mind is free to wander, and even more importantly, wonder. If life is getting you down, do some searching to find that special place to connect or reconnect with your dreams. That is the first step to making them real.
