Good info for all of us who like to participate in Active Rain contests:
When Will You Get Your Contest Points?
Contests are fun and we learn from one another. Each month there are one or more contests or challenges to pick from and some have a ton of points associated with them. You can find the contest group through a link on the bottom of every page.My suggestion is to enter the contests if you have time and if the subject matter interests you. If it doesn't, pass. You will not be penalized as contests and challenges are not mandatory. They do provide very good reading though.
If you have entered any of the ActiveRain contests you need to be patient as to when you will receive your points. Some are posted very quickly while others take time. You will get awarded your extra points. Staff members post the points as time allows. If too much time passes, send staff an email or ask some of the other members if they got their points. Mistakes happen and sometimes people are missed. Staff will research it and see if yours were posted.
The contest moderator/judges keep an accounting on who has earned the contest and who earned points and turns these in at the end of the month. Be patient as many of the hosts are also very busy real estate agents or have other jobs so this is not their primary job. Kudos to Debe Maxwell, CRS for heading up contests and taking the responsibility to see that are contests running and interesting.
