Colleagues Beware: experthomeoffers.com

Oh, boy. It's been a decade since a lead company took me for a ride. I get it, it's my fault. They split hairs on definitions as to what is a qualified lead and what is eligible for a refund. So long story short, they have a program for a 25% referral fee. However, the lead notification once clicked, says the lead is taken. However, there is an option to buy a lead for a flat fee vs the referral fee. I finally got another lead notice! Yay! So I click to pay for it instead of the referral. Great, I got it! So I take the address, I pull it up on the MLS ad it was listed 10 days ago. I ask for a refund and I get the following message:

Paul,

Unfortunately, the lead that you purchased was an individual lead purchase that doesn't qualify for a return. If you are interested in purchasing leads we highly recommend setting up a lead campaign.

Oh, I get it. The BETTER way is not 25% referral or even $75 for the lead ... but to set up a campaign for thousands of dollars in leads .... Hmmm.
