Love bargains? August 17 is National Thrift Store Day. To celebrate, Savers Goodwill and the American Cancer Society Discovery Shops are participating with various specials.

All tee-shirts will sell for 99 cents on Friday, August 17th at Savers.

Goodwill Stores have various promotions.

The American Cancer Society Discovery Shops at 39 E. Main St. in Los Gatos re-opens this weekend (after a devastating fire earlier this year). This weekend, patrons will receive 25% off purchases made in the Los Gatos store.

I've spent more time in the donation line these past couple of months than in many years combined! I cleaned out my garage and my attic and still have a little bit to go through. I am amazed at how little 'storage' items I have left after giving it a stern look after collecting things for 25+ years! LOL
