Importance of Systems

Services for Real Estate Pros

I recently started a new chapter in my life.  I have moved to Norman Ok to finish my degree at my favorite school of all time- Univ. of Oklahoma.  As I (sadly) leave my team in Lubbock, Texas I am reminded of how important systems are.

As many of you may know, I write mostly for assistants.  However, if you don't have an assistant, you are one.  So, this I write for anyone who will read it.

The Millionaire Real Estate Agent walks us through step-by-step how to create and implement systems.  You need systems for everything.  Lead generation, buyer/ sellers, follow- up calls to prospects, contract to close, etc.  You need systems for everything!

To the assistants who are reading this, let me tell you this.  There may come a day when you leave the position you are in.  Whether it be because you are moving into a Buyer's Agent postion, or you go back to school, or whatever the reason.  If you and your agent(s) have the correct systems in place, the transition will be an easy one.

The best systems?  Are the ones that someone else can sit in your seat and pick up where you left off without having to ask any questions.  Everything is already there.  Top Producer is an excellent software that has everything you need to create awesome systems for your agent(s).  As an assistant, your primary function is LEVERAGE.  If you don't know exactly what that means, Read MREA!  I suggest it for ANYONE in real estate.

All this being said, I just wanted to remind everyone how important systems are for your business. I may not have implemented the best systems, but I did have some systems.  It isn't enough just to create them,  you must also USE them and make your agent(s) use them.

Until we meet again, Have An Awesome Week!

I'm in the middle of creating those systems. Can you give us an example of one of your favorite systems? I don't have top producer, instead, I use Outlook 2003, it allows me to keep people by category, follow-up flags, mail merge, etc. What are your suggestions?
