Farewell to Sweet Taffeta Angel Now in Kitty Heaven
by Michelle Carr Crowe
When you love someone, it's excruciatingly hard to say good-bye. Our sweet ~20-year-old flame point Siamese kitty Taffeta Angel brought joy to our lives when we first adopted her and her brother King John Elvis Presley as rescues years ago. We fostered several dozen cats since over the years.
Taffy was the last of all of the rescues, as well as the last one the "Original Cats" or "OGs" as the kids would say.
She was a skillful hunter of the "red dot" (laser pointer). She hated being picked up but Taffy loved to cuddle up, especially in bed. She'd nuzzle up against your neck, purr and even stretch out a paw to "hug" you. Taffy was the sweetest kitty in the world.
Due to quick onset kidney failure, the decision was made to release her from pain today. That meant an entire room of crying family members loving her all the way home to heaven.
Thank you God for allowing us to share the compansionship of such a sweet and loving kitty. When the time is right please bring another similarly loving kitty into our lives, and ease our hurting hearts that are missing her so much.
