Do What Works.     

 

Tried and true methods implemented consistently gain desirable results. Hard work remains a priority for most of us, though some think taking an easier approach takes precedence. Have you ever been taken by a heavy hitting, high pressure salesperson who promised spectacular results but instead were lackluster?

 

You were enamored because it sounded so good!

 

I have and apparently many others have experienced the same thing, whether it involved purchasing a vacuum cleaner, high cost alarm system, grocery cart advertising, bus stop bench ads, timeshare, hair care products, diet pills, etc. The list goes on and on as emotions are targeted with a One-Two punch!

 

Helping clients to achieve their goals should never be a stressful free-for-all. Expectations need to be set, relaying up-to-date reliable information while implementing processes and procedures when buying or selling. Refrain from communicating unrealistic scenarios as it can lend to eventual disappointment.

 

Getting back to effective standards makes all the difference. Showing up on time, working through challenges to resolve, then moving quickly along is key to maintaining momentum in transactions. While there is no magical formula to success, relying on and maintaining trusted relationships create happy end results.

 

Go with what truly works rather than trendy gimmicks!

That quote just says so much about allowing things to happen that are not good for our country just because the spiel was convincing. I have fallen for a few things too that were regretted afterwards! Good to see you here and hope you are back on the road visiting places on your list Sharon Lee.

There is some pretty sound advice here, for us and for our clients, and in real life. Gimmicks and short cuts don't work, and often it's the basics that really matter, and keeping working over and over no matter what anyone tells you.

Yes ma'am, I remember it well.  When I started there were agents who were running about jumping on the band wagon when new technology came out, claiming to make the transaction easier.  Not for me, I just kept plugging along.  I'm still here, most of the other agents have long ago left the business

Another great example of staying with what works James Dray. Many are on to others things because the newest and greatest takeoffs just didn't work. Still here!

You and I are alike in our thinking on this. Never, ever like to be SOLD by someone. When clothes shopping, I refuse to be preened over by salespeople eager to make a higher commission, based on what they want to sell me! Pet peeve...

I learned this lesson when I was on a team. Their style of advertising/promotion just didn't feel right to me.  I left the team, figured out what I was comfortable with and it works..more authentic.
