Ballinahinch is a neighborhood/subdivision in Aston Township, Delaware County, PA. The name Ballinahinch may be derived from the town in County Galway on Irelands west coast, which is actually spelled Ballynahinch but sometimes Ballinahinch, as per Wikipedia.
The names of the streets in Ballinahinch when Googled, all seem to have some connection to Ireland or England, even in a remote way.
Ballinahinch is built on the side and top of a hill in Aston. At the bottom of the hill is Barnaby's Pub and Grill located on Route 452, which parallels Chester Creek.
Condominiums, Townhouses and Single Family Homes are the style houses that make up Ballinahinch. Roughly 460 residences came up on my Public Records search using Ballinahinch in the search criteria. These homes were built roughly between 1989-1996. There is a monthly Association Fee that covers snow removal, trash, sewer and care for the common areas, which includes a playground and a tennis court. The units vary in size from 2 bedroom condos to 5 bedroom single homes, with square footage ranging from 984 to 3,992.
The Penn-Delco School District serves this community.
Ballinahinch is very close to the Rocky Run YMCA on Route 1, close to the Promenade at Granite Run which has a movie theater, Riddle Hospital, major highways like Route 95, close to the Delaware State Line and the Philadelphia airport.
The name Ballinahinch may be a tongue twister, but it sure is a fine place to consider as your next home.
