Cntrl N

By

Well summer is officially here. Memorial Day weekend is over and it's time to get back to business. We got our work week back on track quickly yesterday morning. Kim Mingo with MRIS came out to our office to present to us on the latest tools and tricks available within our MLS.

I was glad to see Kim was speaking in front of a packed house and a very enthusiastic audience. She covered everything from configuring access for team members to new map search tools on the horizon.

It's funny how learning a new trick or two can really make your day. For me, I walked away with a good one, "Cntrl N." When working in Matrix, if you press Cntrl N it opens an additional browser allowing you to multi task within the system. I know this doesn't sound like a big deal, but I can't tell you how many times I have manually opened a second browser in Matrix to find the first one has booted me out. Kim, thanks for making my day to day a little easier.

The event was such a hit, I can't wait to schedule a follow up session asap. -Brian

Brian, good tip. I have on occasion wanted to open a new window only to find out Matrix kicked me out. Thanks for sharing.

Good Post!

And here's the way I do it ... right-click on the option I want to use (e.g., "Tax" or "Roster") and select "Open in new tab".  When I'm doing BPO's, I usally have 3 or 4 Matrix windows (or tabs) open at the same time.  Sure makes life easier ...
