In Memory of a Friend, Mr. James Lowe

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Ward County Notary Services

One of the many reasons I continue to subscribe to the newspaper is to keep up with the passing of friends and prominent local folks who have passed on. In our busy world it's easy to lose track of folks we even consider friends. Such was the case when I read the obituaries yesterday.

James Lowe, Rest In PeaceJames is the son of a friend, Phil, whom I have know for years through my past membership in the Lions Club. Phil is the owner of Lowe's Garden Center in Minot and I have interviewed both Phil and James on Minot Real Estate Today. In honor of James I am re-posting our interview today. This was originally broadcast locally this spring.

James Lowe is of the 3rd generation of the Lowe family who built the business of Lowe's Floral and Garden Center in Minot and James was a master in floral design. We covered a lot of ground in this 15 minute radio interview so if you missed the broadcast I hope you enjoy or recorded pod-cast.

James death was sudden and unexpected. He was not feeling well and in less than two weeks of being told he had Mantle Cell Lymphoma he passed on. Rest In Peace, my friend James Lowe.

Always sad to hear the news of the passing of a friend, Bob. At least, James did not suffer for a long period of time. Seems as if every time I look at the paper, I find someone else I know who's passed on... and often well ahead of their time.

Good morning Bob. So sorry for your loss. So young to pass on. So many pass on ahead of their time.

Thank you Nina Hollander and James really did pass on well ahead of his time at the age of 39. I feel so broken hearted for his dad. I'd like to live a long life but I do not want to outlive my children.

39 really is way to young isn't it Wayne Martin ? I'm still a ways away from double that but I hope to get there.

39 is really too young to die, Bob... no doubt about that. One thing I say each year is that as we get older that Christmas card list gets shorter.

39 really is way to young Sheri Sperry - MCNE® . It was certainly a shock to me but I feel bad for his family. It's really got to be hard for his dad who worked with him every day.

Sure can Sheila Anderson . I am so glad to be entering into semi-retirement so that I might start enjoying life more NOW.
