Beer and micro-brew lovers no doubt already know the 2018 Carlsbad Brewfest is this Saturday, September 8th.

San Diego County, and in particular Carlsbad, have gained quite a reputation for their craft breweries and places serving all sorts of beers, ales and micro-brews. Carlsbad’s popular Brewfest, the 5th annual this year, is a terrific way to check a huge number of brews, ales and micro-brews out…about 66 of them, and all in one place, from 34+ area craft breweries. You'll be able to sample wine, ciders and kombucha, too!
The 2018 Carlsbad Brewfest takes place at Holiday Park on Pio Pico near Carlsbad Village, just south of Carlsbad Village Drive, from 12 noon until 4:30. Of course the primary fun is focused on beer and other beverage sampling, but DJ Rob will provide music and entertainment, plus multiple vendors will offer food and snacks to enjoy alongside your beer and beverages.
You should know they will be checking IDs and no one under the age of 21 will be admitted to the Brewfest, so no trying to sneak in! And given the crowds expected you should plan to arrive early to avoid missing out on your favorite brews – no telling when they might run out!
1000 to 1500 people are expected so arrive early for the best parking in the local area since it’s limited, or just walk or ride your bicycle (plenty of places to lock up your bike).
You can purchase tickets online for $55; a Designated Driver admission ticket is $20! And Appreciate tickets are available for military, police, firefighters, nurses, and lifeguards at $40 (ID will be required at the entrance).
And another benefit of this event? 100% of the funds raised from Brewfest will go to local and regional charities! $50,000 was raised last year.
