My Favorite Beach in West Hawaii

By
Real Estate Agent with Lyon Real Estate BRE #00697006

We are packing up the house as I type this morning. I'm heading back to Sacramento to pick up more listings, and my houseguests, Josh and Vika, are flying out to Kauai for another week. Their families are arriving in Kauai for more activities. I swear, those guys ran me ragged.

Like yesterday, they were out all morning while I stayed on top of my real estate files and argued with Lowes about our home remodel. I had planned to write at least two blogs while they were gone but spent so much time on the phone with other agents and my sellers I didn't get to it.

Well, at least I have my priorities in order. Except when they came back to the house around noon, and I still wasn't finished with my work, I finally just said: to heck with it. Let's go to the beach. I can talk in the car. And off we went.

You can read more in my personal blog todayand see a ton more photographs at this link: The Best Beach in All of West Hawaii is Mauna Kea Beach.

Nick & Trudy Vandekar, 610-203-4543 Well, I did have a few pangs of guilt that I took off leaving work on my computer to finish later, but what the hey. It all worked out.

Hi Elizabeth... that last day of vacation is always a bit more than a little busy... nice to know you can always toss it in and enjoy such a beautiful beach for a while.

"to heck with it. Let's go to the beach"  I like that a lot! And these were my exact words on a few occasions this summer. Of course my blogging and commenting activity here suffered a lot - as you could probably tell - but I made some great memories with my family. It's all good and I'm getting back into it. Promise.

On another note, I went to Hawaii 15 years ago this summer .. your post got me thinking and counting the years.

Absolutely stunning pictures, Elizabeth!  I'm glad you chucked it, and went to the beach!  You are returning to temps in the upper 90s here in Sacramento, but a cooling trend is on the horizon for next week.

Andrea Bedard I don't say "to heck with it" very often but it seemed appropriate at the time and I don't regret it. Josh and Vika standing there, all dressed for the beach, expecting me to be finished with my morning work when I hadn't even started, due to all the unexpected interruptions. Some days go like that, and I work later, and others, well, the beach beckons.

Myrl Jeffcoat I got up this morning and my first thought was it's cold, I should put on a robe. See, I would rarely feel that way in Hawaii. Temperatures today in Sacramento are supposed to be in the 70s. Brrr.

Inna Ivchenko You should get to Hawaii. And especially the Big Island with its incredibly diverse micro-climates. It's also a good place to take other trips FROM, like a year from now, I am considering a trip to Auckland from Honolulu, cruise around New Zealand and Hobart, and then spend time in Sydney. Maybe not flying back to Sacramento at the end but just round trip from Honolulu.
