One of the main themes of a Highlands Ranch property management cycle is that of preventative maintenance and maintaining and improving homes over time. There is always an element of looking forward with this business, and you will always need to plan and see the landscape before you. Something that is directly tied into this is the state of the community in which we serve. There are many committees committed to making sure the next few decades are nice for all the residents and that the community remains a good place to live in. This is something that every resident should be interested in. See the details below for the plan and the opportunity to contribute.
“The Douglas County Planning Commission and Douglas County staff are updating the 2035 Comprehensive Master Plan (CMP) and have launched the 2040 CMP Update. This means that the 2035 CMP will be reviewed and updated to reflect the changing needs and desires of the community. This effort includes an extensive public outreach component in which the public is invited and encouraged to attend meetings regarding different topics. Input provided from the public will be incorporated into the 2040 CMP. Following the public meetings, a draft document will be made available to ensure County staff captured community values. The public will have an opportunity to comment on the draft document. Additional revisions will be made prior to the final document being presented to the Planning Commission for approval.
The Highlands Ranch Meeting will be on September 22, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Southridge Recreation center, 4800 McArthur Ranch Road. Topics will be Urban Land Uses, High Plateau Subarea, Transportation.”
