. The fall and winter have always been busy times in our real estate practice and this one is exactly that sales pattern. We jumped in the car and made a few stops on our way to get our next listing ready for the market...David looked at the dashboard and the car's computer indicated that the left front tire was losing pressure. We immediately pulled into a parking lot...and looked for the cause...nasty nail picked up somewhere...and the pressure was going to continue to drop. We drove back a few blocks and happened upon an auto repair shop....the Gods were smiling...a rare find these days ! The mechanic/owner was hard at work on another car and greeted us immediately....Ah yes, he determined the tire could be plugged...and he set about to do just that...stopping work on his other job so we could get back on the road to our next appointment.
The service was prompt and appreciated,..as the Mechanic calculated the Bill...the conversation turned to real estate..."Thank you so much for the excellent service,,,if you are ever in need of real estate service, please give us a call." Yes he WAS indeed in need of exactly that ! He was going to buy a house...Sell a house and a Buy a commercial property ! He quickly admitted that real estate was not his forte and welcomed our help. David quickly discussed some of the aspects of a commercial sale while I took down the address of the soon to be listed property.
Today, on our way back to our soon to be listed property, we will bring him our introduction folder with our credentials and testimonials...and a blind market analysis of the property he wishes to list.
The Moral to the Story is...always let everyone, everywhere know what you do...have business cards with you at all times....and don't leave your smile and positive attitude in your pocket !
