Personally, I really like the Hammer Museum and will be back for their events and new contemporary exhibitions. I've been to many museums and art galleries in L.A. and this one definitely deserves your time. I especially recommend their permanent collection featuring masterpieces of Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Picasso,Monet. You will also like their cute gift store and a courtyard with swivel chars. I highly recommend to check it out if you live nearby or just visiting this part of SoCal. It is free , small, never crowded, conveniently located in Westwood ( close to great restaurants for any taste). Great to come alone, to bring your family, or friends.
