Insight to Sacramento Real Estate August 2018

By
Real Estate Agent with Elizabeth Anne Weintraub, Broker DRE #00697006

I am always a little bit surprised when the Sacramento housing market moves precisely as I expect because real estate is such a volatile thing, like a hurricane, you never really know for certain what will happen. You just get lucky at times, that's all. But I don't feel very lucky at the moment. Closed sales are down, buyers are canceling escrows without so much as a second glance, and our days on market growing.

The biggest issue is an equal and opposite reaction. You can read more in my personal blog today at this link: August 2018 Sacramento Housing Report.

It is a moving target. We are beginning to see a slowing of sale though we are stil in a sellers market.

Elizabeth, the last couple of months here in Denver have been slower too.  It is usually slower, but feels like the market is shifting for sure.

I would say the signs of our seller's market slowing happened this spring.

Joan Cox Well, we knew it was bound to happen sooner or later. Who knew it would last this long to start with?
