Florida Homebuyers; do you need some help with $$$$$

well the Florida Housing Finance Corp is busy doing what they do. They have just recently announced some new down payment and closing cost assistance programs available statewide. the headliner, in my opinion is a

     4%   Grant

a grant is where you don't pay back the $$$...ever

okay who gets it? well there are some very specific guidelines for income, purchase price, etc. and you do need to be a first time homebuyer or someone who has not owned a home for the previous 3 years, or a

Veteran

so lenders don't seem to mention this often but our Veterans are exempt from the first time homebuyer requirement, and they receive a rate reduction of 1/4%.

can they use their VA entitlement/benefit you may be wondering? 

well yes they can. this is an excellent opportunity to help our Veterans purchase a home, be it their first home or otherwise.
