As part of my training for the big Famous Idaho Potato Half Marathon, I decided to run in the Race to Robie Creek for practice. Not trying to get an impressive time or anything, just making sure I can finish the whole thing before I run in the next one.

The Race to Robie Creek is held on the third Saturday every April (one month before the Famous Idaho Potato Half Marathon), starting at High Noon. With the help of generous sponsors, hundreds of volunteers and to the benefit of some of my favorite local charities, they always offer a fun, slightly irreverent, top quality, half-marathon race. Plus, they apparently have an amazing post-race party and entertainment. All of that being said, entry spots are pretty limited and the race fills up fast, so sign-up early and know that they invite all runners, trotters, walkers or crawlers who feel they have it in them to take a shot at participating.

The fact that my family has been encouraging me to get a practice half-marathon in before the Famous Idaho Potato Half Marathon combined with this races continuous rise in popularity made it an easy decision to add to the list of Boyles Boise: 52 things to do and see.
