Searching for Cincinnati condos for sale? You'll have decisions to make.
Of course location and budget are key, but there are other choices to make.
Do you want a condo with or without a garage?
Of course if you buy a condo without a garage you'll probably save some money, BUT think about the following:
It's pouring down rain and you stopped at the grocery store and despite how much you try to pack mule it, it's going to take a couple of trips.
It's peak summer and your parking spot has no shade. And you're wearing shorts. And your car interior is about 150 Fahrenheit. Yowzerssssssss that seat is hot!
Or it's January and the temps are below freezing and there's ice in the parking lot. And about 5" of snow and your sense of balance isn't what it used to be. It's not if, but when your gluteus maximus contacts the pavement.
So have I convinced you that you DO want a garage with your condo?
You'll find they come in various configurations.
While it's not as good as a garage some will come with covered parking. Cheaper than having a garage, the carport will at least provide some shade and keep the worst of the snow off of you.
Next up is the most desired, a 1 or 2 car ATTACHED garage.
You pull in, open the door and you're in your place (although depending on configuration you may need to go up a flight of stairs.
Or Option B, you leave the garage and enter a common hallway and then head to your entrance. Depending on configuration, it can be down or up a floor.
And there is another version, the condo with the detached garage. Fully enclosed, but in a separate building, and it's not limited to cheaper condos. For instance, if you visit Deerfield Township's Beacon Hill community you'll find two versions: townhomes with the 2 car garage in the basement (rear entry) OR a detached garage accessed via alley. From there, you walk out the back of the garage and through a small courtyard before entering the townhome.
Obviously, you have some choices. Tell us your preferences and we'll help you with what you can find and where you can find it for your budget.
