Many people think Realtors only show houses. (Make that "look at pretty houses all day".) That's a small part of our job description. We wear many hats, one of which is deciding how to market ourselves, our listings, and how to make the phone ring.
I'm fortunate to associate with a great company in the metro Jackson area, Front Gate Realty. We collaborate on marketing ideas that agents can choose to participate in or not. The office staff personalizes cards for each agent, we order the quantity we want and add postage and address labels. That helps a busy agent a lot! I can supplement or revise as I see fit, then incorporate other ideas if desired to beef up my marketing for the month. In addition, graphics can be shared on social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter, my top 3) and/or emailed to select groups.
Since September is the kickoff for football season, the following theme involved football and a tailgating recipe:

Marketing for the 4th Quarter
We can't quit marketing in the 4th quarter! What we plant now we will sow in the first quarter of 2019. My October postcard has a Halloween theme (of course) with the tagline, "Don't Let the Real Estate Market Scare You". Our giveaway for the month will be glowsticks along with an appropriate real estate message, i.e., let us light your way in the dark... You can also order assorted holiday pop-bys from Amazon or visit your local Dollar Store for inexpensive happies for children.
November is a theme of gratefulness, which is the message of both our postcard and personalized letter to our clients. The pop-by will remain a secret for now but it will be a useful item for the kitchen. ;-) Again, get ideas from the Dollar Store or visit Amazon, or browse the internet for ideas.
Rounding out December will be postcards and holiday cards. I have an abundance of Christmas cards since I took advantage of last years clearance (who doesn't love a sale?). Our agency had a new group photo made last week that will be incorporated into our company theme "Be Home for the Holidays".
The Christmas piece is still under construction but I'll share it at a later date. The graphics pictured are snippets of the marketing pieces, not the finished product. It's such a busy time of year that popbys can be as elaborate or as simple as you choose.
Following is last years postcard and group photo.
Several AR members have shared terrific ideas so I encourage you to review all the entries at the link below. You might glean a few ideas to incorporate into your own marketing plan for the 4th quarter.
