Taking an extra moment daily to think about what I am grateful for, sure helps me. Not only at work, but at home, and I find myself smiling more..

Lesley Wilson-VanGoethem - Smiles are contagious. They rub off on people. It's hard to be grumpy around someone who's smiling at you.
An attitude of gratitude! Loved your message. I appreciate these reminders ... Thank you Pamela Cendejas

The Law of Attraction teaches us that the more we are grateful for, the more we will have to be grateful for.
Even on a tough day, it's easy to find a reason. For instance, I've gotten in the habit of going back to the beginning and saying thank you for all of the people who contributed to things I appreciate, such as a hot shower.
If you think about it... start with the invention of electricity and power lines. Then think of all the men (like my son) who work to build and maintain those power lines. Then - I thank whoever invented water heaters and water pipes - and shower heads and faucets. Of course I thank my husband for building this house and installing my shower. Lest I forget - I thank Mother Nature for the spring that bubbles out of the hillside and provides us with fresh clean water.
No matter what it is you appreciate in your life, if you stop to think about all the brain and muscle power it took to provide it to you, you won't run out of reasons to be thankful.

Marte Cliff - Thank you for sharing your inspiring thoughts. You've taken it beyond anything I've ever thought of. I'll start taking my gratitude back as far as I can in the future.
I started a journal years ago for something else. Writing down 3 things each day for what I am grateful is a wonderful idea to add! Thank you!
JoAnn Young - I have done the same thing. Since I was going through some tough times, it was difficult to start. However, the longer I did it, the easier it got.

I think too many people ignore the power of this. Gratitude shows greatfulness for what you have. By focusing on that rather than what we don't have we welcome more into our lives.
Some call it whoo whoo but success leaves cluses and gratitude, belief in your aim/purpose and discipline are the keys to a happy and succesful life.
Great Post! And I think we all need a reminder every now and again.

Don't forget to tell those who you work FOR that you are grateful for the opportunity and any leads they have given you. Thanking others for your success is an honest gesture.

John Henry - WOW! Great thought. When we're truly grateful, it's easy to include everyone in our circle of gratitude.
We become what we think is something that I have always lived by. This is a great post and adding gratitude to our daily lives is something we can all benefit from! I hope this gets featured.

Amanda S. Davidson - I have always believed that, too. There are things that I don't even let into my brain. We draw into our lives what we allow in.
Being truly grateful for your blessings is projected in your appearance, your voice and your body language. We all would rather be around someone who is positive and smiling....living in gratitude makes that easy!

Marc St Martin - I like your thought about gratefulness being projected in our appearance, voice, and body language. I am always amazed how may perfect strangers feel like they can come up to me and start a conversation.
As it is said, you can't control what happens to you, but you can influence your attitude about it. I like how attitude and gratitude rhyme, too!

I am in agreement as well--we are so fortunate to live in the USA and take many things for granted--food, housing, freedom. Instilling a sense of appreciation and gratitude in mykids is a priority!
