International Day of Peace is September 21.
This is the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Of course, World Peace isn’t limited to policymakers and those in government or ending wars.
But put your thinking cap on and imagine how you and I, little people in the big ocean of the world, can be that pebble of peace that through our one action may affect one person who will then pass that on to the next person.
No matter what side of the fence you are on, if you’re straddling it, or want to be as far away as you can from it, we can all dial down the rhetoric and name-calling and offer the olive branch by listening to what the other person has to say.
We learn from discourse and discussion. Name-calling and raising your voice is like “clutter” (I hate that word) in a home you’re trying to sell. All anyone will focus on is the fact that you’ve raised your voice. Anything you say after that is lost.
So peace and creating an environment that fosters it is up to all of us.
Be kind to those around you.
Be willing to agree to disagree.
Accept the differences in others.
Peace is not absence of conflict, it is the ability to handle conflict by peaceful means. Ronald Reagan
