Sunday Brunch With Good Friends!
Paul & Bill
Sunday Brunch with the friends is always a fun time! Paul & Bill have been buds for years and at just about every party you can see those two hanging out talking up a storm. Both guys are in their 80's and bring so much fun and life to everyone. Both have been world travlers for their business and have the stories to prove it. Both still love to explore new ideas, places and people. They are two of the coolest guys I know - and so much fun!
Paul's wife Susan passed over several years ago and we all still miss her - but we know she's always at the party in spirit. Bill's wife Maggy and I have been friends for years and she's a total crack up! She's a creative writer and her stories and explanations draw everyone, waiting on baited breath to find out what's....next! She was going to be out of town this weekend and said to me - hey why don't you and the boys go to brunch without me. Done! Gary and I picked Paul up as he can't drive anymore due to eye issues. Bill showed up a little late, but who was watching their watch? Nobody!
Funny story about Bill - he loves a little bit of Jack Daniels - ok sometimes more than just a little. So a couple of years ago at one of our regular wine tasting events I noticed he was not tasting any wine. I asked him about it and he says - I'm a Jack kind of guy! Well I wasn't sure what that meant at the time so I asked him. What's that mean? Jack Daniels!!! Oh.....I get it! Before the next party I went to Costco and picked up one of those big bottles of Jack. Now Bill has his own 'stash' whenever he comes over. He knows where it is but I have a rule about it. If he's driving he can only have one. If Maggy is driving then he can do whatever he wants. Which is never much because that same bottle is still waiting for him and the next party!
After brunch today I felt incredible blessed and fortunate to have such an amazing circle of friends. And the folks above just a few of such amazing people. And that's how it is with so many of my ActiveRain Friends. We folks here in the Rain are so fortunate to have met each other, support each other and have a lot of fun together. On this gorgeous Sunday I wanted to let you know how it feels to me to have great friends - blessed and grateful...and of course happy!
Good Friends Are Priceless!
PS I did add some fun pictures of these good friends from over the years but they just wouldn't show up no matter what I tried... but I think you get the picture anyway........right!
