Why would an agent want a CRS designation?
These are excellent reasons to earn a CRS designation. The education is some of the top in the industry. This week is free education weboinarr week at the Residentail Real Estate Council. I am signed up to listen to 2 and regret I can't hear the others because I will be at a national MLS meeting the rest of the week.
Why would an agent want to obtain a CRS designation?
Many agents have an opinion on whether designations are good or unnecessary in the real estate industry. I’ve always felt education is power. Earning my CRS designation years ago definitely was a good move on my part. I value my CRS and gladly pay the annual fee.
Not only have I made excellent connections throughout the state and nationwide but I’ve received many referral opportunities. The public may not know what it is but those in our industry do. I’ve incorporated my CRS in “selling” to prospective clients.
The education is stellar and the networking fantastic..my first go to place to find an agent and send a referral. Each year 2 courses are required to to renew. I’ve found the content timely and informative on a variety of topics. Did you know you receive a complimentary subscription to Inman Select?
Our CRS luncheons are always so enlightening because we have the best speakers on what is going on now in our industry. Just this past week I attended our CRS Austin luncheon and can’t tell you how much I enjoyed hearing Avis Wutash speak. Avis is the chair of the Texas Real Estate Commission and the only person to hold this position for two consecutive appointments.
Our industry is constantly changing and we must take accountability for keeping in the know if we are to survive the disruptor's. I'm glad I earned my CRS designation so I have another avenue to keep abreast with the latest updates to the assaults to our industry and find reasonable and logical ways to combat the elimination of our profession. Knowledge is power.
