Vail Resorts pulls out of state ski association

By
Real Estate Agent with Colorado Mountain College

From the Summit Daily news: "Vail Resorts pulled out of Colorado Ski Country USA, a state trade association, over philosophical differences Wednesday, the chairman of Colorado Ski Country's board of directors confirmed."

It will be interesting to see how this organization can survive without the state's biggest player. Vail Resorts owns Breckenridge and Keystone resorts in Summit County, as well as Beaver Creek and Vail ski areas.

Rolando I saw that also. I really though that Colorado Ski Country did a decent job of representing the state. I will be a major blow to their marketing efforts due to the size of contributions Vail Resorts made.

Jason & Deanna Long Breckenridge Real Estate (The Long Group), I agree, they did do a good job. There's a longer article about this in today's Denver Post business section.

Denver Real Estate, Highlands Ranch Real Estate, Steve Scheer (RE/MAX Masters, Inc.) We'll see what changes. Some of the Colorado Ski Country programs will be weaker without Vail Resorts. I wonder what Intrawest (Copper, Steamboat, Winter Park) is thinking.
