I am a local guy that was raised in Allen Park, lived in Livonia for 23 years, and have living on White Lake for the past 7 years. I have been working in Commerce for the past 7 years. My change from moving from Livonia came about after I lost my
wife Marianne to breast cancer after a 23 year fight. She was stage four and really battle the disease, but God wanted her home and I was left on my own. I always loved lake living, but because of the cancer Marianne couldn't be out in the sun much. I am big supporter of cancer charities trying to help out wherever I can. I do the White Lake Cardboard boat races in July each year at the White Lake Inn (about the 3rd week in July). We raised over $15,000 this year for various cancer charities. I let the people who donate pick their charity to write too. After all there are so many different charities that affect us. Right now I know of 3 friends that are battling cancer. So please give to help defeat this horrible disease. Of course I get involved in Toys for Tots (I hold a bar night where I buy you a drink if you bring me a toy for toys for tots) and other charity events too. I give blood too but I don't like it. (Just don't like being poked or how long it takes (always a long wait)). I believe it is all about what you give back on this earth. As a friend said. It how you live the dash 1960-2050.
I have been blessed and re-connected with a college sweetheart Patti. Patti and I got married this year. We have 7 grandchildren and one more on the way! She's a great lady and I can't wait to see what the next 35 years bring!
