FREE GUIDED TREE WALK - GILLSON PARK, WILMETTE IL

Join Go Green Wilmette in their annual Tree Walk, held this year at Gillson Park in Wilmette. The tour will be guided by a knowledgeable tree person or a tree enthusiast. Last year I attended the event at Mallincrodt Park and the guide was a arborist from a local nursery.

There will actually be several tour guides that will take smaller groups since the turn-out is fairlyTree Walk - Wilmette IL substantial.

The tour lasts about 1 1/2 hours with the guide explaining how to identify trees, how to care for them, and which species are best for our area. Questions are welcome!

The Tree Walk is free and family-friendly.

When: Sunday, October 7

Time: 1pm

Where: Gillson Park in Wilmette, meet near the Wallace Bowl

Hello Margaret Goss what a great local post.  It has been more years than I can count since I was last in Wilmette, but I remember it as a pretty area.
