It was a very sad day earlier this week for all REALTORS® and affiliates at the Aurora Association of REALTORS®. Our long time staff member with 20 years was only 42 years old and passed away from a blood clot. It was rumored she knew she may have a clot in her leg, as she had been experiencing "tingling" in her leg. Then in the morning it felt like she had a cold, and everyone at the Association recommended to her to go to the doctor. She was stubborn, and did not. Next Friday will be the funeral and sure it will be packed, as she was well respected and adored.

Deep Vein Thrombosis:
Signs and Symptoms
Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) occurs when a blood clot forms in one of the deep veins of your body, usually in your legs, but sometimes in your arm. The signs and symptoms of a DVT include:
- Swelling, usually in one leg (or arm)
- Leg pain or tenderness often described as a cramp or Charley horse
- Reddish or bluish skin discoloration
- Leg (or arm) warm to touch
These symptoms of a blood clot may feel similar to a pulled muscle or a “Charley horse,” but may differ in that the leg (or arm) may be swollen, slightly discolored, and warm.
Contact your doctor as soon as you can if you have any of these symptoms, because you may need treatment right away.
If you are experiencing these symptoms, do not wait for tomorrow, as tomorrow may never come.
