I found my perfect home, but want to sleep on it tonight.

I know what you are thinking.  You are making the largest purchase of your life and don’t want to rush into putting in an offer.

It makes sense.  We are always advised to sleep on it.  Don’t make a haste decision.  Take your time and think about it.  If it is meant to be it will be.

WRONG!  In real estate you don’t want to take time.  You don’t want to weigh the pros and cons and think about it over night. When you walk into your home you are going to know it is your home.  If you are on the fence, than keep looking until you find your home.

And, when you buy in WA state, you typically get a 10 day inspection period.  So if you wake up tomorrow and have changed your mind, no problem. You are not locked in at that point.   However, if another family looked yesterday and woke up today deciding to write an offer because the took the time to think about it, you are going to be out of luck if you also take a day to think about it.

Buying a home can be a scary time and you want to do it right.  A good Realtor will help guide you.  Your agent along with your instinct and desires will help you make your biggest purchase also your best purchase.
