The Branding of You

Whether you work for a large franchise or small independent, your company has a brand. And while the brand of your company can boost your image, you can stand out from the crowd by branding yourself apart from your company.

Think of three words you'd like your clients to use to describe you.  Does your public image match those words? Do you consistently send that same message in your mailings, ads, on your signs, etc?  You're not just a REALTOR(R), you are the CEO of your own company.  Think of a tag line for your individual or team business. Use it on everything.  Make it catchy. The more you use it, and live up to it, the more that the public can identify it and will remember it. 

Your business card, your stationery, your ads, your signs, your print materials (farm mailings, fax cover sheets, etc) should all be part of the same campaign. Sure, you can change things up once in awhile, but keep the same colors, fonts and tag lines. 

You don't need to be a graphics whiz - just a basic knowledge of software like Publisher and Word.  By printing your postcards - even business cards - on an as needed basis, you can tweak your campaigns if you're not getting the results you want.  

The goal is to get people to recognize your presence in the marketplace.  Just like those golden arches of the fast food world or the red & white cola brand, you want to be consistent. And everywhere.  Use your company brand to enhance your brand, and take it to the next level.
