Lock Watch for the Week of 10/15/2018
This is getting interesting. The stock market sell-offs last week will dictate what the mortgage market does this week too, and nobody knows what that is going to be. Saudi Arabia will be in the mix too, but if all of these elements go the way we expect (and that's never guaranteed), then the bond market could be a benefactor and that would imply lower rates.

The Ace of Spades
Ian Fraser "Lemmy" Kilmister was born to lose on Christmas Eve, 1945, in post-war England. Sometime in the late '60's his rock 'n' roll career careened onto a faster track thanks to his proximity to the Jimi Hendrix experience, life on the road, psychedelic drugs and dawning era of heavy metal.
It is reported that Lemmy's fondness for Jack Daniels promoted a habit of polishing a bottle a day for nearly 40 years and if you believe that to be true, those nearly 14K bottles of Jack on the wall eclipse by about seven-fold the number of women, it is rumored, that should have happened to fall before the Motorhead frontman.
Not content with the aforementioned vices, Lemmy also chain abused cigarettes and amphetamines across a half century of rock 'n' roll mayhem, his band notorious for a no-holds-barred thunderous brand of no nonsense noise that served as a precursor to the Metallica era that took off in the early-'80's.
Back in my teenage garage rehearsal days, one of our favorite band pranks was to take the singer's mic stand and raise it as high as it would go, then slant the microphone down, "Lemmy-style." If you ever get a chance to catch a video of Motorhead on stage, don't pass it up. When Lemmy passed away at 70 years of age in 2015, the tributes came in from all corners of the musical globe. Mostly amazement at how a guy with such a limited musical repertoire and a lifelong death wish could have so loudly beat the odds.
