Put All Valuables and Harmful Items Away

Prescription medicineWhen selling a home including your Clarksville TN home, sellers need to prepare for showing by securing your valuables and putting away any dangerous or harmful items.

The obvious steps of preparation have to do with staging and getting the home in show-ready condition and clutter-free. When a home is ready for market and presents well in Clarksville TN home, it will sell faster and bring a good price.

Home sellers need to take that extra step and put valuables away, out of sight and in a safe place. All valuables should not be visible as they could be a temptation for little hands during the showing. It is common sense to not have jewelry and money laying around. Guns and prescription medications and any other dangerous or harmful items should be locked up or removed.

Prescription drugs especially are easy to pick up and slip in a pocket.  There have been reported cases across the country of prescriptions disappearing after a showing. Though I have not had that happen it doesn't mean that it won't.

As for firearms and other weapons, should be put in a locked gun safe or entirely removed during the showing period. No seller wants anyone hurt or So think smart and go the extra step in taking precautions so nobody will be hurt or lose anything of value.

Good morning, Roy Kelley great advice here from Debbie...especially the prescription drugs.... I know a story of an agent who would rummage through medicine cabinets and finally was caught...he previewed every new home that hit the market...he was the first one in.

Drugs have become such an issue...and prevention can take this problem away as a concern.

Interesting.  Some things never come into my mind.  Perusing someone's drugs and taking what I want is one of those things.
