Wordless Wednesday - White Pumpkins, the New Orange!
All around Charlotte, we're seeing some pretty eerie-looking white pumpkins — naturally white, not the painted ceramic kind either! They are harvested from the Cucurbita maxima seed.
These interesting delights are finding their way into more and more homes this Halloween season. Ghost Pumpkins, as they are most commonly known, are albinos and are sometimes referred to as Snowballs, Luminas or Caspers — you know, the friendly ghost pumpkin!
Don’t worry, if you’re into cooking the flesh, these are also bright orange on the inside! And, if your into decorating pumpkins for the season - these offer the perfect palette for painting or carving your most ghoulish fall pumpkin!
