This years Momento Mori celebrates the bright lights and dark tales of the silver screen and the Horror Film genre. Step right up and watch your step, the show has just begun. Please be aware that the all exits have been securely bolted to keep the non-paying hooligans outside and our paying customers safely inside.

Right this way your VIP seats are in the Orchestra 3rd row, don't mind the smell of rancid watermelon we have our best people working on it and besides with these seats you won't even notice. Please pardon the burlap seat covers, The Gallagher Back From the Dead Tour(figure of speech) was last weeks performance and the entire orchestra has to be reupholstered. Ah, here we are Row 3, seats 13 and 15, oops! Let me stuff that horse hair and straw back into your seat for you and brush off the asbestos, there now enjoy the show.

I see you have already tried a healthy helping of our delicious Cinema Horror Movie Popcorn with our proprietary blend of artificially flavored 100% synthetic "butter flavored" topping and all natural road kill mongoose lard. I meant to warn you that some rascally radicals poured a horse purgative into the hot topping popping machine during last nights Wingnut Conspiracy Theory Film Festival.

We tried to clean out the machine but you know how the help is these days. Oh, and one more thing, should you feel something gnawing on your nylons just kick it away, it's nothing I'm sure but you should strongly consider getting a Rabies shot immediately after the show. 

We have volunteer phlebotomists(really just others in the audience willing to administer the 9 inch hypodermic needle and inject the vaccine 9 times into your abdomen) ready to assist with all your vaccine needs, at least we think they will assist, who knows for sure.

  Oh, did I mention that this grand theatre palace you are now in was the first of it's kind when it was built back in 1921. Built entirely out of asbestos, the original interior is a sparkling example of what we don't know can kill us. Oh, whats that, hows the film you ask? Well, all the critics panned it because the main character dies horribly in the end, SPOILER ALERT!

Halloween is that special time of year to poke fun at life's terrifying reality, to make light of the heaviness of our own mortality, and to consume our emotions with handfuls of sickening sweets and candy. It's the time of year where we can be the contrarian, ironic self, or sexy librarian we always wanted to be or not to be. It's a time to answer the question, is it worth all the slings and arrows? Hopefully, the answer is yes and being able to laugh at the inane around us, helps with the seemingly asinine aspects of modern living.

It would seem that the inane and asinine have taken front row seats these days. When it comes to the art of film, the horror genre may lack the gravitas of historical dramas and the relevance and revelry of a comedy, however, this sickly and sinister step child of film genres packs an indelible punch to our fears and nightmarish imaginings in a way that politics can't. 

Well look at that... it appears the show is already half through and I have been talking your ear off, huh... I'll just bring your ear back to the concessions stand and store it in the ice machine ice bin and you can pick it up on your way out of the theatre.
