As a property expert in the Danbury & Candlewood Lake area of Connecticut, I am propositioned by anxious owners of their home. They often invite me to pick my brain on the market. I often debate in my mind whether they are just wanting a price on their real estate for future planning or actually planning on moving immediately or in the near future. Sometimes clients don't tell me up front, which isn't that beneficial to either of us, even when I try to get your motivation. 

The price for the selling your house now or in the future shouldn't be the only thing that you should consider when hiring a real estate agent. You should feel confident on how our home will be marketed, explanation of how the sales process works, knowledge of the market & a complete explanation and review of how arised on a possible valuation (similar size, location and condition as your home). Also partner with yiou has a solid track record in your neighborhood and you feel the most confident their abilities. The average prices have gone up a little bit this year (2018) in Danbury due to a lack of available homes & buyer demand in certain neighborhoods. We can talk more about the market in person.

Wanting a price & selling a home are two different things but similiar. Wanthing a price is typically a valuation of where the house should ultimatly sell for-more or less & putting the house on the market means giving yourself a little bit of negoitating room close to where the house should sell for. The sale of the home involves marketing, any pre-sale or post-inspection repairs, moving, formal contracts and time. Any home seller can ask whatever they want for their home,within reason, but the home buyers have to see the value in the home to make an offer and regardless on what the seller & buyer agree to, the house must appraise out for buyers seeking a mortgage.
