COLORS YOU WILL LOVE FOR YOUR BEDROOM

Hey, I've been posting a lot about minimal efforts to achieve the maximum effect when it comes to your home decor. Today, let's talk about your bedroom. The color of a room says a lot about its purpose and also about YOU! And with a little paint you can achieve great changes!

What color did you choose for your bedroom? Are you happy with it? In my house, the Blue Cottage, I chose happy colors that make me feel good. My son's room is a bright turquoise because I felt that the regular blue seemed just too predictable.

For our bedroom - as you can see in the picture above - I chose a very light blue. This off-white bedroom color is soothing and works perfectly in a home with cottage or farmhouse decor. If you love a colorful interior design, I recommend off-white versions of your favorite colors so your decor can really shine and is not overpowered by your wall colors. This being said, of course there are exceptions to this rule, as you can see in my list of most stunning bedroom colors,

A dark color can be calming and meditative, think of a gray turquoise or a dark purple. Pictures with gold frames look especially stunning on a darker wall.

If you don't dare to paint your whole bedroom in a dark color, why don't you create an accent wall by painting only one part of the room or one wall in a darker shade? The wall behind the headrest of your bed is usually perfect for it!

On my Pinterest lists you can find a lot of ideas that inspired me to apply changes to my interior design. Naturally, some are still waiting to come to fruition.

When I plan a new project and finally decide which color I want to use, I always do my research and pick a high quality one-step paint. In the past, I found it very informative to read reviews and also look for the "color of the year" for certain rooms.

I'm sure, you will find the perfect color for your bedroom that will help you to get a peaceful sleep after a long day!

Hi Debbie... I can always appreciate color in someone else's bedroom, but somehow am never happy with one in mine (had a blue one once). I always go back to the most basic neutrals such as pale grey or very pale taupe.

It depends on the lighting in the room too. Different times of the day and different times of the year, the colors will look different.
