Facebook Is Free, Why Invest Money Into It?

Did you know Facebook is free? It is free to post. Free to have a business page. And free to comment on other people's content. Then why on Earth would you keep a budget for Facebook? Here's why:

1. Facebook Ads

To advertise, you need to spend money. Plain and simple. There are plenty of agents out there finding success with Facebook Ads, and it may be worth looking into...especially if you are in search of the ever-elusive seller lead. Don't confuse this with a "boosted post" (see below), as Facebook Ads will help you convert users to leads, but won't help with organic traffic or building your audience.

2. Boosted Posts

There are plenty of myths out there concerning the Facebook algorithm. Don't listen to your conspiracy theory colleagues about Facebook hiding your posts. They will only hide posts that are not relevant to people who are not looking for that info. For example, do you want an 18 year old high school graduate to see your posts about home ownership?

Boosting posts is a great tool in your arsenal to boost posts that are already performing well. Facebook will often inform you via notification that a post is doing well...it'd be wise to "boost" that post with some spend. This is different from an Ad, because it is actual content that people can interact with. This will help your organic reach.

3. Facebook Posting Tools

Outside of Facebook there are tools that help you schedule your posts, or sometimes post for you. Of course, you can do this yourself in real time...but...that takes a lot of time. Would you rather be out meeting clients? Or would you rather be on your computer posting to Facebook all day? Facebook posting tools, such as PropertyPulse, can help save you a lot of time and decrease the amount of time you waste spend on Facebook.

4. Education

It is also worth investing some time hiring an expert to teach you the ins and outs of Facebook. Facebook is FREE...but do you actually know what you are doing to maximize your time spent on the platform to give you the best return? Or are you wandering the desert trying to make money from the Billboard you placed in the center? We all need help, and some are more knowledgable than others. A course on converting leads you found online can be beneficial to your business. (Especially when that course is FREE)
